Founded in 1992 as a spin-off from the University of Paderborn, ITEK's corporate focus remains on optimizing inter-company information and communication processes. For over three decades, associations have trusted us with the standardization of B2B processes. As a result, we are involved in the development of a large number of industry standards. These include EDIFACT/EDITEC, IDS Connect, SHK Connect/Open Connect, ELBRIDGE, ETIM, ZUGFeRD, Open Masterdata, and Open Document Exchange.
Since 2017, ITEK has had its own “Technology” division, which is organized in the subsidiary “ITEK Technologie GmbH.” ITEK offers cloud-based solutions, especially for inter-company product data management. Several thousand companies now use these solutions.
In 2022, the consulting division was spun off into a separate company. ITEK Consulting GmbH provides consulting, data, and knowledge services for industry and wholesale.
In 2023, the subsidiary TeachTek was integrated into the group of companies. TeachTek coordinates sophisticated forms of teaching in medical education, such as bedside teaching or teaching in simulation environments, as well as in-company training with face-to-face events, online seminars, self-learning, and certifications.
ITEK AI Solutions was founded in 2024 and offers specialized AI solutions within the ITEK range of services (XS and XD technology) as well as new solutions on the market, for example in the areas of bots, content creation, and content matching.
ITEK is an independent family business with a long-term business model. We offer sustainable solutions for accelerating processes and increasing efficiency, particularly in the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, and building materials industries. With our focused service portfolio, we support companies in digitizing their external processes with customers and suppliers.
