Do you have questions about the standard? We are happy to answer your questions.
ETIM BMEcat is a standardized exchange format for electronic product catalogs. This format enables companies to provide their product data in a structured, machine-readable form so that it can be easily imported into merchandise management systems, online shops, or procurement platforms.
The exchange format is based on an XML structure that enables data to be exchanged in a standardized form.
BMEcat defines a fixed structure for catalog data. This includes products, prices, images, delivery terms, and classifications such as ETIM or eCl@ss.
The standard enables the exchange of large quantities of products between manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors.
The ETIM BMEcat is defined and maintained by ETIM's “Structure and Technology” working group. It can be used free of charge.
You can find more information about the standard on the following page under “Guidelines for Product Data Provision 5.0.”
