Process optimization of product data supply with Open Masterdata

ITEK has published an article on the subject of "Product data supply in the trade" in the trade journal RAS International - Das Wirtschaftsjournal für die Gebäudetechnik.

The specialist article deals with the improvement of product data supply in the trade through Open Masterdata. The outdated data format Datanorm no longer meets the requirements of digitization, which is why wholesalers and craftsmen are increasingly switching to Open Masterdata. The standard enables a demand-oriented and timely provision of product data for craftsmen, which reduces the effort of manual requests to wholesalers.

Open Masterdata promotes the digitization of the building services industry and offers advantages such as on-demand data supply, individual data use, high data depth and quality, and efficient communication processes.

 

Using this standard enables craftsmen to obtain only the data they need, rather than all the information available. The solution is made accessible via the IDS interface and contributes to the improvement of information supply and digitization in the skilled trades.
