Why do planners and architects need product data in special file formats?

News / Omni Channel Stream  -
Planners and architects work on detailed specifications or quotations every day. They need tender texts and article information to create them. The challenge here is to find the information quickly and transfer it easily into the systems.

For example, a planner or architect creates a specification for the construction of an office building and searches for tender texts for an air conditioning unit. He has the following options for obtaining tender texts:

  1. He can fall back on texts from completed projects. However, there is a risk that the texts contain outdated information and standards.

  2. He can search for suitable products on manufacturer websites. The problem here is the different structure of the websites and the existing texts. Manually transferring the data into his system would again be very time-consuming for him.

  3. He can search for products on various platforms and portals. These usually offer export options for his systems. This is the best way to ensure comparability and standardisation, but many of these platforms are chargeable.

Planners and architects require a special data format (GAEB) for their software in order to transfer and use product information. If your product data is not in GAEB format, it cannot be used by planners and architects. With Omni Channel Stream, you as a manufacturer can optimally supply your target group with product data in GAEB format.

The platform converts your DQR data delivery into GAEB format and makes the product data available to planners and architects. This allows you to provide your target group with the best possible data, saving planners and architects time and effort.

Omni Channel Stream offers you as a manufacturer the opportunity to distribute all your product data centrally via one platform. All data, standards and information are located at a single point of deployment and can be viewed by you at any time.
