The cooperation in the ETIM working groups is progressing

News / ETIM / Standardization  -
Work for the ETIM 10 release is being focused, and central collection areas have also been established for communication and collaboration within the ETIM working groups in the HVAC and building materials areas.

In the area of ETIM building materials, the first round of talks with manufacturers was successfully concluded. Individual product classes are currently being reviewed and examined so that the work in the working groups can be resumed on this basis in the fourth quarter.

In the ETIM HVAC area, a newly established working group has started to work on the standardization of connection and thread sizes as part of international cooperation. Furthermore, the discussion on Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certificates is becoming increasingly important. The topic is currently being discussed at international level so that the environmental aspects are also included in the ETIM model. In the fourth quarter, working group meetings are planned to again carefully review and clearly define the upcoming tasks to ensure a smooth path to the upcoming release.

Furthermore, the Knowledge Base was set up in the Atlassian tool Confluence. This allows documents and discussions to be managed centrally. Currently, access rights are being set up to ensure that all members receive the required information and can actively participate in the discussion process.
