2. Sign an Open Connect contract

Open Connect ELBRIDGE is the central directory for manufacturer configurators and wholesale shops.

For the scenario "Start of the craftsman in the wholesale shop" (see ELBRIDGE 1.0), manufacturers can enter in the Open Connect directory service which configurators they offer on the market and store the corresponding entry address (URL) (process provider). This enables the wholesale shop to automatically select these configurators (process user). The announcement of the configurators in Open Connect is independent of the actual business relationship with the individual manufacturers. This agreement is still concluded individually. 

For the scenario "Start of the craftsman on the industry's website" (see ELBRIDGE 2.0) a registration of the wholesale shop as remote station for the central interface is absolutely necessary. The participating wholesaler stores the URL of his shop (process provider) so that the craftsman can select it via the interface and execute the order. Only ETIM members and their subsidiaries or member companies can register with their wholesale shop.
